UpStairs on the Square
The multi-floored restaurant is distinguished with decorative painting in tones of coral and gold leaf. Wonderful leopard and zebra patterned carpets wrap the floors and fanciful sconces and mirrors adorn the walls.
The first floor features a large, wood-paneled Monday Club Bar where guests can enjoy sweeping views of the Square while they sip and sup on chef Susan Regis' "casual haute cuisine" in front of two working fireplaces. Overlooking the park, there is a sun-filled, sky-lit veranda room, full of light and a look at the life of the Square beyond.
The UpStairs main dining room (Soire Room), is reminiscent of a glowing and colorful jewel-box-like supper club, is lit with the flicker of working fireplace at each end of the room. Clearly an heir to the celebratory dining room at the Pudding, it is the province of chef Amanda Lydon and her beautiful fine dining menu with seasonal ingredients exquisitely prepared and served.
Throughout the restaurant, UpStairs on the Square prides itself on serving hand-crafted, finely-tuned dishes, menus that balance taste with texture and food with carefully selected wines.
A series of wine tastings and wine dinners happen every Wednesday night. Upstairs provides flexible and festive private rooms for any size event. To learn more, call 617-864-1933 or visit us on the web at www.upstairsonthesquare.com.
